Frequent Asked Questions

Is testicular puncture painful? What about testicular biopsy?

Testicular puncture is not painful. It is performed under regional anaesthesia and does not cause discomfort while awaiting its effects. When testicular biopsy is performed under sedation, patients do not feel any pain. Postoperatively, analgesics are indicated for a variable period of 24-72 hours if they are in pain. Resting is only advised for short periods of time, thus helping patients to carry on with their lives normally.
