CERTIFIED AND AUDITED SUCCESS RATE STATISTICS
96% of our patients achieve a pregnancy over three courses of treatment
We are committed to caring for the health of the mother and the foetus and transfer an average of 1.2 top quality embryos. This gives us high performance rates with low percentages of multiple births and a total absence of triplet pregnancies.
When interpreting our statistics, it is important to take into account that we are a reference centre for patients who have previously gone through an average of 2.5 failed courses of treatment in other centres, are of advanced age,
poor ovarian reserves; severe male factors; frequently, couples who have been rejected due to uncertain prognoses and have been trying to get pregnant for a long time. These factors influence the results.
We wish to remind you that the statistics cover overall data and that they should not be extrapolated to any one particular case. It is important to keep in mind that it’s essential to always establish an individualised prognosis.
The aim is NOT to get achieve a positive pregnancy test. It is the birth of a healthy child that is not premature and is born following a satisfactory and complication-free pregnancy.
Our results are held on the register at the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) and have been audited by external companies Applus® and Instituto Fidelitas.
Statistics in Instituto Bernabeu, 2020.
The cumulative pregnancy rate refers to pregnancies achieved following the egg retrieval/collection procedure. This includes transfer of fresh embryos and a possible transfer of frozen embryos.
|Positive pregnancy test with 1 fresh transfer||65,1%|
|Cumulative positive pregnancy test* (1 fresh transfer plus 2 cryotransfers, with no PGD and elective vitrification)||91,6%|
|Clinical pregnancy with 1 fresh transfer||54,2%|
|Cycles during which embryos are frozen (an average of 3-4 blastocysts)||92,5%|
|Transfer performed during blastocyst stage (day 5)||97,7%|
|Oocytes donated per patient||Average of 11 and minimum of 8**|
* Transfer of 1 fresh cycle plus 1 frozen cycle with no DGP/PGT and elective vitrification.
** As an exception, and only in specific cases arising from the ethical consequences of generating embryos that could not be transferred due to the advanced age of the patient, the number may be limited to 7.
|IN VITRO FERTILISATION (IVF) USING THE PATIENT’S OWN OOCYTE|
|POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST <35 YEARS OF AGE||59,1%|
|CUMULATIVE POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST <35 YEARS OF AGE* (1 fresh transfer plus 2 cryotransfers, with no PGD and elective vitrification)||88,2%|

|GLOBAL % OF EMBRYOS THAT REACH THE BLASTOCYST STAGE||53,5%|
|TRANSFER PERFORMED DURING BLASTOCYST STAGE (day 5)||82,9%|
|OVERALL % OF CYCLES IN WHICH EMBRYOS ARE FROZEN (All age ranges are included in courses of treatment with no PGD and elective vitrification.)||60%|
