Instituto Bernabeu addressed the male factor at the first edition of an event on assisted reproduction held in Toledo

Ongoing training and participation in congresses is part of the day-to-day work routine at Instituto Bernabeu. One such example this month was the first edition of the Assisted Reproduction Event held in Toledo (Spain) on 21st and 22nd February. Mónica Aparicio, an embryologist at Instituto Bernabeu in Madrid, participated in the gathering of experts where male factor and DNA fragmentation issues were addressed. Her intervention covered the techniques that are performed at the clinic.

Mónica Aparicio is an embryologist working in the in vitro fertilisation department in Madrid and she reviewed early techniques and those that have most recently been implemented. She also addressed the matter of following a diet that is rich in antioxidants in order to improve sperm quality.

In 47% of cases of infertility, the male factor is the issue. Therefore, the tests that male partners undergo when they visit the clinic to seek help having a child are also incredibly important. Instituto Bernabeu is committed to performing a personalised and all-encompassing analysis of the reasons why its patients are infertile and it has specific Urology and Andrology Units that perform comprehensive male partner analyses.
