Instituto Bernabeu strengthens its professionals’ training in emotional management and patient care

Instituto Bernabeu is once again holding its emotional management training workshops, delivered by Raluca Lupu, Coordinator of the Psychology Department at Instituto Bernabeu.

The aim of this training is to strengthen the skills of team members who provide direct patient care throughout their treatment, with a particular focus on the emotional aspects of the patient experience.

The workshops focus on psychoeducation and address the emotional impact of infertility. They provide participants with resources to improve assertive and empathetic communication, as well as tools to help them understand the different emotional states patients may experience, particularly when undergoing fertility treatment.

Emotional regulation and self-care are also addressed, providing professionals with various techniques to manage their own emotions and look after their well-being.

The aim of this training is to update and enhance the team’s skills in recognising the emotional needs patients may bring with them when they attend the clinic, enabling professionals to provide the best possible care according to the different emotional states patients may experience throughout the various stages of treatment.
