Dr Rafael Bernabeu addresses the uterine factor as a cause of recurrent pregnancy loss at SEGO

Dr Rafael Bernabeu, Medical Director at Instituto Bernabeu, gave a speech within the framework of the ‘Review and updated handling of recurrent pregnancy loss’ course held in Madrid. The event was organised by the Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SEGO).

The gynaecologist gave a speech in which he addressed the uterine factor in recurrent pregnancy loss.

Implantation failure is one of the challenges that Instituto Bernabeu has been facing for many years. The clinic has attempted to find a solution for a situation that is a challenge for specialists. It does so from three perspectives: the female patient, the male partner and the embryo. When studying cases such as these, it is important to assess the structure and architecture of the uterine cavity where the embryo implants. Abnormalities in the uterine can cause pregnancy loss due to a number of issues such as uterine myomas, congenital abnormalities, adhesions and endometrial polyps.
