Instituto Bernabeu at ESHRE 2025 presents a key debate on personalised monitoring.

Dr Annalisa Racca, medical coordinator of Instituto Bernabeu Venice, will participate as an invited speaker at the next European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE 2025) congress, which will bring together leading international experts in reproductive medicine.

Dr Racca will speak at the invited session 31, where a debate of growing relevance will be addressed:

Should the same monitoring protocol during ovarian stimulation be applied to all patients, or is it time for a more personalised approach?

During ovarian stimulation in in vitro fertilisation (IVF) cycles, strict monitoring with ultrasound and hormone analysis is common. However, new approaches – such as oocyte vitrification, progestogen protocol (PPOS) or the trend towards total freezing – have transformed clinical standards.

In this context, Dr Racca will discuss alternatives such as:

  • Reducing the number of face-to-face visits without compromising efficacy.
  • Using home monitoring tools.
  • Adapting the frequency and type of follow-up according to each patient’s clinical history.

These proposals seek to improve the patient experience, making it easier for patients to balance their daily lives and optimising medical resources, without losing sight of clinical excellence.

Instituto Bernabeu’s presence at this type of forum reaffirms its role as an international reference centre and its commitment to innovative, personalised and patient-centred reproductive medicine.
