My husband and I would like to share the amazing news that our daughter was born on the 14^th – my due date! We still can’t believe that we’re parents and it is partly thanks to all of you at Instituto Bernabeu. Many, many thanks for helping us to make our dream come true and giving us this tiny miracle!!

This was the best decision I ever made to decide to go to Instituto Bernabeu in Madrid. The team from Madrid picked us up at the airport, the assistant stayed with us through the whole process and no waiting time at the clinic.

The way we were served, in impeccable French, Instituto Bernabeu shows that it is used to receive foreign patients. We were amazed with the excellent services. Congratulations to the whole team!

You might remember my husband and me travelled to IB Bernabeu on 27 December last year for embryo transfer and the good news is our baby son was born by C-Section on 7 September 2017 weighing 3.4kg! He is a beautiful, healthy baby. It is hard to believe he is 14 weeks old now (time is flying by) and we are just thrilled to finally become parents after 7 years trying. He is such a wonderful blessing to our family!

I wanted to let you and Dr Castillo know and to express our thanks to you and everyone at Instituto Bernabeu for the wonderful care we received in Spain. We are so grateful for your help and a healthy baby is such a wonderful gift.

All going well, we would love to try for another baby again.

I cannot thank you much as we cannot explain in words that what does it mean for us. We were waiting for this news since June 2008 after getting married. Both of us cried a lot after hearing the news as it means a lot for us.

I like to thank all of you including the whole team of IB Madrid who supported the whole process (Please thank Dr. Bernabeu also from our side). Whatever I checked on Internet about reviews of IB, I must say that nothing was wrongly written on the Internet. You gave lot of happiness to couples like us.

I personally and in the name of my wife would again like to express our deepest thanks to you and all of you high qualified professional specialst in working  to make  this wonder and miracle happen.

At 39 years of age and having experienced several pregnancy losses, my husband and I were really very concerned about making our dream to have children come true.

Having searched long and hard for a specialist clinic that would give us the answers we were not finding at a number of healthcare centres, we turned all the way from Switzerland to Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante. Right from the outset, we knew we are in the right place: the modern, top-quality facilities; the welcoming and personable team; the medical team’s experience; the impressive statistics…That’s when our long, and sometimes winding, journey began but we always knew in our hearts that Instituto Bernabeu was the right place for us. 

We are now the proud parents of a 3-year-old girl and are expecting our second child. We are eternally grateful to the team at Instituto Bernabeu for their constant, faultless care; for their professionalism and support; and, most of all, for their honesty and human touch.  Each and every member of the team was always there for us, supporting us in whatever was needed. We now know that we were able to access the services of a fertility clinic that, on a medical and scientific level, is up there with any other internationally-renowned clinic and, at the same time, we were treated with a level of respect and honesty that is not easy to find.

Our thanks go out once again to each and every member of the team for having made us so happy. We knew we were in the very best of hands right from the start.

Time has gone very fast in the last 4 years. Eric has now finished the nursery and he is just about to start the school in September. I can only thank INSTITUTO BERNABEU so much.

After 5 years of struggle with a serious fertility problem, after plenty of medical visits and plenty of failed treatments, I decided to visit Instituto Bernabeu, and now I’m typing with my 6 months old cutie pie baby sitting next to me.

I was emotionally wrecked and I found some wonderful and super professional people. That is really important, but so is the incredible warmth they gave me, which was just the medicine I needed in order to keep fighting. I can assure you that if there’s anything I’ve been doing all this time that is fighting real hard, but with such wonderful people by my side I’ve realised the greatest of my dreams: becoming a MUM.

I will always thank you for what you’ve done for me. When my baby grows up I will tell him that a group of wonderful people helped us to be together.

No podremos nunca dejar de agradecer al Instituto Bernabeu de Alicante y a todo su equipo humano el habernos dado la felicidad de poder abrazar entre nuestros brazos a nuestro hijo.

A finales del año 2010 acudimos al primer centro italiano, después fuimos a un centro Suizo y en el año 2011 a otro español donde estuvimos profundamente desilusionados por el trato. A partir de lo cual renunciamos a seguir a la búsqueda de un bebé, después en internet descubrí al Instituto Bernabeu de Alicante. Envié un correo electrónico y la respuesta inmediatamente nos gustó, fijamos un encuentro por skype y durante la charla tanto yo como mi marido nos ´´enamoramos a primera vista ´´ de la Dra. Luque y de su excelente asistente Silvia. Estuvieron ágiles, profesionales y gentiles en toda la preparación del tratamiento. En cualquier duda Silvia me respondía rapidamente, mis miedos eran siempre menores y sentía que si había posibilidad de conseguirlo, ellos habrían sabido aprovecharla. Su tranquilidad y paciencia nos ha ayudado a afrontar todo con mas serenidad y creo que en estas situaciones la serenidad es fundamental para el éxito. No veíamos el momento de partir para Alicante y una vez allí fuimos a la clínica para conocer a estas personas estupendas y pudimos comprobar personalmente que todo el equipo del Instituto Bernabeu era muy cordial y preparado.

Durante la semana que estuvimos allí fuimos varias veces al centro para los controles con la Dra, comentar el desarrollo de los embriones y decidir juntos el  momento de la transferencia, también este hecho nos sorprendió positivamente.

El día del transfer estábamos agitados por la emoción pero también muy serenos. La Dra. Luque estuvo estupenda y todo fué lo mejor posible. Después Silvia y ella fueron a nuestra habitación para darnos todas las noticias que necesitábamos para los siguientes días. Recuerdo perfectamente como la Dra cuando me cogió la mano y me dijo que los dos embriones eran muy bonitos nos emocionamos. Diez días después mi beta fué positiva, ¡mi primera beta positiva!

Este es nuestro maravilloso recuerdo del Instituto Bernabeu y de las bellísimas personas que allí trabajan. No nos sentimos como números, sino como seres humanos tratados con calor y dulzura, y estoy segura que ello favoreció el éxito.

Perdonen que hayamos tardado tanto en dar señales de vida, pero como pueden imaginar, la mudanza a otro país con lo que eso implica, más el parto de mellizos y su lactancia y el trabajo no nos deja mucho tiempo libre.

Esencialmente queríamos transmitirles nuestro agradecimiento por habernos ayudado a concebir a nuestros mellizos, que finalmente nacieron el pasado mayo por cesárea con casi 40 semanas de embarazo cumplidas (39 y 4 días). 

Dentro de lo que cabe, Ainara se ha aclimatado muy bien desde su traslado a Guatemala conmigo. Tuvo un embarazo muy tranquilo y apacible, en el que subió de peso por ser un embarazo múltiple, pero en el que no engordó casi nada de grasa. Los niños crecieron en todo momento con mucha fuerza dentro del seno materno, estando casi siempre el varón como unas dos semanas adelantado en el desarrollo de la mujercita. Muy buena maduración en todas las ecografías y sólo en la última semana el niño empezó a quedarse sin líquido amniótico, que siempre fue abundante en las dos bolsas. 

Los bebés se movieron mucho durante el embarazo, pero no consiguieron pasar de posición transversa, tal y como predijo el Dr. Lozano en las primeras semanas. Así que nuestro plan de parto natural tuvo que ser sustituido por un plan de cesárea respetada. Por suerte encontramos un equipo médico muy profesional que nos ha atendido de modo excelente y según nuestra voluntad de tener una cesárea respetada y consciente, con el mínimo de intervenciones médicas posibles (…) 

Los niños tuvieron un peso excelente. Se pueden ver las fotos de cuando los pesaron al nacer, el peso viene expresado en libras. La niña pesó 6 libras con 2 onzas, lo que supone unos 2.800gr y el niño pesó 7.75 libras, lo que supone más de 3.500gr. Muy buenos pesos, lo que les ha ayudado a seguir con fuerza su desarrollo, como se puede ver en las fotos más recientes de hace una semana con mes y medio. Les estamos dando pecho en exclusiva y a demanda y están creciendo con mucha fuerza y a muy buen ritmo. 

Estamos inmensamente felices y agradecidos por toda la ayuda recibida para lograr nuestra ansiada paternidad y por la profesionalidad que tanto ustedes como el equipo médico de Guatemala han demostrado en cada una de las fases de este embarazo. 

En cuanto nos recuperemos un poco en todos los sentidos seguramente nos animemos con un hermanito o hermanita para los mellizos de esos que nos tienen ustedes guardados, pero por el momento tenemos mucho trabajo por delante, como pueden imaginar. 

Guatemala es un país precioso, en crecimiento y lleno de oportunidades para jóvenes profesionales, a pesar de los fuertes contrastes sociales que todavía se observan y la relativa inseguridad. (…)
