October, month dedicated to the IB unit of Low Ovarian Reserve
October, 6th 2025

Low ovarian response is one of the greatest challenges in reproductive medicine today. Identifying it early and applying innovative strategies, from double stimulation protocols to pharmacogenetic studies, allows us to offer new therapeutic possibilities to patients with limited oocyte reserves, who in many cases are forced to resort to egg donation. For Instituto Bernabeu, this has been a challenge to which we have dedicated our human, technical and research resources in order to offer individualised solutions using the patient’s own gametes. It is a field of ongoing research that is redefining clinical practice and the personalised approach to fertility.
Treatment unit for low ovarian reserve at Instituto Bernabeu
As a result of our medical commitment, more than a decade ago we launched one of the first units
As a result of our medical commitment, more than a decade ago we launched one of the first European units specialising in personalised reproductive medicine for patients with low ovarian response.
Our Low Ovarian Reserve Unit is a pioneer in dedicating itself exclusively to the research and treatment of women who need to individualise their reproductive treatment in order to become mothers using their own gametes. Under the direction of Dr Ana Fuentes, our multidisciplinary team applies the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, combining clinical experience with our own scientific research programmes.
Invitation to the ‘Doctor-Patient Colloquium’ on innovative strategies in the treatment of Low Ovarian Reserve
With the aim of raising awareness of these advances and providing a space for close dialogue, Instituto Bernabeu has organised a free doctor-patient colloquium on Saturday 8th November at 11:45 a.m. at its centres in Alicante, Madrid, Mallorca, Albacete and Cartagena, and on Saturday 15th November at its clinic in Venice (Italy). This is a unique opportunity for patients suffering from these problems to learn first-hand about the therapeutic solutions available and to have their questions answered by our leading specialists.
The invitation, subject to confirmation of attendance via the link, is open to anyone who wishes to find out more.
