Dr. Belén Moliner analyzes the role of the microbiome in infertility and endometriosis at a scientific meeting in Poland

Dr. Belén Moliner, gynecologist at Instituto Bernabeu and director of its Endometriosis Unit, is participating today, March 27, as a speaker in Katowice (Poland) at the international scientific meeting “The importance of the microbiome and physical activity in the treatment of fertility,” dedicated to analyzing the impact of the microbiome on reproductive health.

During the congress, the specialist will present the paper “Microbiome disorders and infertility and endometriosis. The importance of probiotic therapy,” in which she will address the relationship between microbiome alterations and various reproductive disorders.

The microbiome is the set of microorganisms that naturally inhabit the body, including the female reproductive tract. Its balance is fundamental for gynecological health and can influence key processes such as embryo implantation, pregnancy development, or the onset of certain pathologies.

In her intervention, Dr. Moliner will analyze how imbalances in the vaginal and endometrial microbiota may be related to fertility problems and gynecological diseases such as endometriosis, as well as the potential of new therapeutic strategies.

The participation of our colleague and specialist in this meeting is especially relevant due to her clinical and research profile. Dr. Moliner combines extensive experience in the treatment of endometriosis, one of the most complex gynecological pathologies associated with infertility, with a prominent line of work in the study of the reproductive microbiome, an emerging field that is transforming the understanding of fertility.
