Committed to science: Instituto Bernabeu’s double presence at major events
May, 27th 2025

Last week, the Instituto Bernabeu team participated in two scientific meetings of great relevance in the field of reproductive medicine, reaffirming our commitment to research and medical excellence.
Firstly, we were present at the First Congress of the Ibero-American Federation of Human Reproduction (FIBARH), an international forum that brought together specialists from all Ibero-America to address the advances, challenges and ethical aspects of assisted reproduction. During the event, Dr Belén Lledó, scientific director of IB Biotech, gave a presentation focused on donor anonymity and its relationship with genetics. During her speech entitled: “Are donors truly anonymous? Direct-to-consumer genetics, genealogy and privacy”, she stressed the importance of this issue from a scientific and bioethical perspective, especially in a context of regulatory change, technological progress and growing social sensitivity.
On the other hand, we also participated in the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) Interest Groups 10th Meeting, a meeting already consolidated as a national reference for the exchange of knowledge between professionals from different areas involved in reproductive medicine. In this edition, Instituto Bernabeu was represented by members of the gynaecology, molecular genetics, psychology and nursing teams.
Both scientific conferences were intense and enriching, allowing us to share experiences, strengthen alliances and keep us at the forefront of knowledge in our field.
