Gynaecologist, Andrea Bernabeu, receives in New York the Young Investigator Award
Dr Andrea Bernabeu, a gynaecologist at Instituto Bernabeu, was recently handed the Young Investigator Award in New York in recognition of Instituto Bernabeu’s work on advanced genetics techniques for the detection of chromosome abnormalities in embryos. The Young Investigator Award was awarded by the Translational and Reproductive Biology and Clinical Reproductive Endocrinology international congress held in New York between 16th and 19th November and sponsored by the US Foundation for Reproductive Medicine (FRM). This prestigious committee’s professional jury has highlighted the “Does embryo mosaicism affect clinic results in assisted reproduction cycles?” investigation, emphasising the work’s innovation and quality.
Embryologists, biologists and geneticists from the different departments at Instituto Bernabeu collaborated on the research work. The award is granted to promising young professionals under the age of 40, whose work is a contribution to the development and progress on the reproductive medicine field.
