Elisa Serrano

Degree in Healthcare Biology from the University of Barcelona and Master of Medical Sciences in Assisted Reproduction Technology from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom (2012).

Elisa Serrano began her professional training at an assisted reproduction clinic in Mexico where she also gained experience as a lecturer at Anahuac University. In 2015, she was awarded a Leonardo Grant for an internship in the assisted reproduction department at Ghent University Hospital in Belgium. In 2016, she continued her professional career as an embryologist at Lister Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

During her career, she has participated in research projects at ‘Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin’ (Germany) and at the ‘Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA)’ in France. The research work on early epigenetic reprogramming in fertilized, cloned and parthenote embryos that she completed at INRA was published as an article in the Theriogenology journal.

In 2019, she was awarded the title of Clinical Embryologist, as certified by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), and she joined the team at Instituto Bernabeu in Palma de Mallorca to work as an embryologist.

She is a member of ASEBIR, ESHRE and COBIB associations.
