Mónica Hortal

Mónica Hortal Foronda has a degree in Biotechnology from Miguel Hernández University in Elche (2018).

She completed her training by doing interships in the Experimental Embryology Group of  the Neurosciences Institute of Alicante and in the genetic diagnosis laboratories of Scientific Park of the UMH.

In 2019, she did a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine (7th edition) organised by Instituto Bernabeu in collaboration with the University of Alicante. She joined IB Biotech the same year where she works in molecular biology and genetics.

In 2020, she studied a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics in the UOC and in the University of Barcelona.

Her areas of interest are focused on the relationship between cytokine levels and ovarian reserve and response and on the study of genetic polymorphisms associated with ovarian response.

She has participated in various communications to congresses and is is a member of the Professional Association of Biotechnologists of Valencia (ABiVa) and a member of the Spanish Association for the Study of Human Reproduction Biology (ASEBIR).
