Mª Carmen Tió

María Carmen Tió graduated from the University of Alicante in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She joined the Instituto Bernabeu Andrology and Clinical Analyses Laboratory in Benidorm one year later. 

In 2011, she began working in the Reproduction Biology Department where she handles embryology tasks. She holds a research Master’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Miguel Hernández University.

María Carmen is a member of the Spanish Association for the Study of Biology and Human Reproduction (ASEBIR) and has published numerous national and international papers.

María Carmen is part of the teaching staff on the international ‘Advanced Workshop in Embryo Biopsy: Techniques and Tips for Usage’ within the framework of the Cook Medical international programme for education.

Her current special area of interest is cryobiology and quality standards in the in vitro fertilisation laboratory.
