Frequent Asked Questions

When is my most fertile day and how can I find out?

In patients with regular cycles of 28 – 30 days, ovulation occurs 14 – 15 days after the beginning of menstruation (first day of cycle). There are a number of physical signs that can help you to find out what your most fertile day is, such as a greater amount of vaginal discharge and a greater mucosity, a feeling of discomfort and heaviness in the lower belly, and so on. There are also ovulation urine tests that can detect when the levels of the LH hormone, which triggers ovulation, are at their peak. Finding the most fertile day of patients with irregular cycles is more difficult. It is recommened to have regular sexual relations, every 2 -3 days, in order to bring gametes (egg and sperm) into contact when ovulation occurs.
