Clinical pregnancy statistics at Instituto Bernabeu after assisted reproduction treatment

This data refers to achieved pregnancies, and have been subjected to external audits by the companies DNV and Instituto Fidelitas.

After three treatments, 95% of our patients achieve a pregnancy.

We are focused on maternal and fetal well-being, therefore we transfer one or two high quality embryos. Because of this we achieve high success rates with low percentages of multiple order pregnancies, avoiding the risks associated in triplet pregnancies, both for the mother and babies.

In 90% of donor egg cycles, and in 60% of own egg cycles, embryos arrive to blastocyst start (day 4/5 of development and transfer). This allows the natural selection process of the embryo to be completed, and the patient receives the embryos most likely to achieve a pregnancy.

In about 60% of cycles we are able to freeze remaining embryos: an option for future treatment or expanding the family.

Please bear in mind when reading our statistics that we are a leading center for patients who have failed to achieve pregnancy after 2.5 treatments in other centers, for older patients, and those who have a long history of trying to conceive.

Please note that statistics encompass overall data. They are not applicable to specific cases, therefore individualized care is necessary in making a prognosis.
