Dr. Rafael Bernabeu

Dr Rafael Bernabeu was born in Alicante on 12 December 1957 and is the Medical Director of Instituto Bernabeu.

He graduated with an honours degree in Medicine and Surgery from the medical school of the University of Valencia in 1980 and was certified as an intern by the Department of Medical Physiology, General Pathology and General Surgery.

He is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1984 with continual training since then with placements in different national, European and international centres (New York University; Cornell University in NY; John Hopkins University in Baltimore, etc.).

Author of over 150 national and international articles in prestigious Reproductive Medicine journals: Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, Reproductive Biomedicine Online, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Histology and Histopathology, Ebioforum Europe, among others, as well as forewords in various books on the specialty.

Author of more than 100 speeches at national conferences and 36 international conferences.

Research Prize from the Spanish Society of Fertility in 2000 and in 2010.

Member of the editorial committee of Iberoamerican Fertility Magazine and the Spanish Obstetrics and Gynaecology Magazine.
