ESHRE: European fertility conference.
ESHRE is the leading international conference for assisted reproduction specialists. The Instituto Bernabeu group, as in previous years, is actively participating this year with a scientific study called "Day 3 or day 5 embryo transfer? A randomized prospective study".
This study, which was jointly prepared by the reproductive medicine departments of IB Elche and IB Alicante and the Biology of Reproduction department, presents pregnancy rates after blastocyst transfers on day 3 versus day 5 of embryo development. The study concludes that the pregnancy rates are quite similar and that day 3 transfers also allow a higher number of embryos to be frozen, which raises the overall rate for these patients.
