How to donate semen
Donors are usually young healthy males that unselfishly come to our centre to contribute periodically with their semen samples that subsequently will result in positive reproduction treatments:
- Heterosexual couples who lack ejaculated spermatozoids as well as in the testicle or epididymo.
- Possibility of passing contagious illnesses or genetic disorders through partner’s semen.
- Documented inmunitary illnesses.
- Women without a partner or homosexual.
Requirements to be a semen donor
- Avere un’età tra 18 e 35 anni.
- Men between 18-35 years of age.
- Psychophysically healthy.
- Not to be a holder of a genetic illness record like diabetes or epilepsy since they can be passed on to the descendants.
- Not to carry infections like: hepatitis B Antigens, Antibodies anti-hepatitis C, Antibodies anti-AIDS, Syphilis.
- Not to suffer any infections.
- Normal karyotype. (Chromosomal studies).
- To have semen with an approximate quality of 4.5 times of the normal level that can undergo adequately the processes of freezing and defrosting it.
