INSTITUTO BERNABEU IMPLANTATION FAILURE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT UNIT
Getting pregnant and seeing the pregnancy stop within the first few weeks of gestation or not becoming pregnant at all after Assisted Reproduction treatments are certainly the most emotionally devastating situations for patients. These are also very frustrating situations for the doctor involved because there are many different causes and not always means to diagnose and treat them.
This is due to the fact that in the origin of implantation failure, there are three patients: the mother, father and the embryo. Each one has its own characteristics and deserves a multidisciplinary approach that goes beyond studying each individual cause, since the problem will reoccur as long as the causes persist.
It's a special goal to overcome this challenge with patients and achieve the highly anticipated success.
At Instituto Bernabeu, we have been particularly interested in implantation failure for many years and we are proud to have extensive experience in the treatment of these problems.
We have created a multidisciplinary task force made up of gynaecologists specialised in reproduction, endoscopy and vascular ultrasound, embryologists, geneticists and biologists who are experts in human embryo development and implantation.
This multidisciplinary approach allows patients to receive a study that is conducted during a menstrual cycle and includes the three above mentioned protagonists: mother, father and embryo.
Since we have the leading technologies in the field and constantly updated and trained specialists, we can carefully evaluate each case with the most advanced explorations: hysteroscopy, Doppler ultrasound, immunological, blood, chromosomal and genetic studies (Array-CGH, amongst other), in addition to studying the impact of occupational, social and environmental toxins on the problem.
Therefore, we can reach an accurate diagnosis and finally design an individualised treatment based on the results of these studies; eliminating the uncertainty of statistics and ensuring maximum results.
