Activities

The Foundation Rafael Bernabeu Obra Social aims at supporting and collaborating with underprivileged social groups lacking resources.

From the beginning, the Instituto Bernabeu has demonstrated a great sensibility towards the social, ethic and human aspects in terms of sanitary activity. Within our means, we have always felt obliged to take part in activities and collaborate with organizations that contribute to the improvement of the sanitary and cultural level of our environment.

Among the aids and collaborations of non-profit organizations and the promotion of general interest activities, it is worth mentioning the following initiatives run by the Instituto Bernabeu:

  • Cocemfe. La Confederación Española de Personas con Discapacidad Física y Orgánica is a non governmental organization (NGO) established in 1980 in order to promote and defend the improvement of the living conditions of one and a half million physically disabled people in Spain.
  • Nazaret. supports the programme Actuación con madres y niños en alto riesgo (Acting in favour of mothers and children at high risk). The initiative is aimed at aiding neonates, babies and children until the age of 6 years who live in very poor conditions, marginalization and violence.
  • Collaboration with associations for patients suffering from hereditary diseases

The Instituto Bernabeu has also been making regular donations to Non-governmental Organizations and other foundations such as Médicos sin Fronteras, Aldeas Infantiles SOS and Fundación 1000 for the investigation of congenital defects, as well as to Ayuda en Acción, that is worth mentioning for their selfless social and humanitarian action.
